beanddo hit the ground running this month. We started it by launching our new website, we took a guest spot at Manchester's first Mindful Living Show and led a variety of new classes and workshops for Manchester businesses and schools.
Teaching teachers wellbeing
We were invited to Moss Side in Manchester to take part in a teacher training day for wellbeing. We worked with two schools, Claremont Primary and Martenscroft Nursery School and Children’s Centre. Over 60 teachers and staff attended two workshops which introduced the techniques of modern meditation and how to apply it during the working day. We put emphasis on staying centred and focused, while building resilience, energy and opening up to creative flow.

Preparing for the 2018 World Cup
We were happy to be invited back once again to Byrom to deliver a week-long workplace meditation course. Byrom, a global sports event management consultancy, are heavily involved in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the Ryder Cup 2018. Everyone at Byrom is extremely busy and motivated working on such prestigious events, with deadlines they can't miss. This was our third year working with this great company, helping their delivery teams to stay focused, manage stress and relax and thrive by making happy work.

Mindful Living - getting into the flow
We were also very pleased to be invited to take part in Manchester's very first Mindful Living Show. Mick and Anna lead a creative flow workshop, designed to show how the benefits of meditation can be applied to everyday action and experience. It was fun to do, as this participant later told us.
It also had a serious side, in that to get into flow you have to let go of expectation and judgement. Mick uses these techniques in his work at Manchester School of Art teaching graduate designers. Read more about the workshop.
New website launched
You may have noticed we have a new website - doesn't it look great?! But then, we are biased… the beanddo team worked hard to get the new site up and running this month and we’re so grateful to everybody who had a hand in it - from writing and editing the content, to shaping the design, filming some engaging videos and managing the project. The new website gives us a better platform through which to spread the word about what we can do to make happy work.
We've got lots more to share with you in the coming months - downloadable meditations, easy-to-follow meditation guides and books, as well as films and eventually some e-learning content too. Thanks for joining us at this exciting time!
