Yes it's hot! It's even hot here in Manchester. As we think back over the month, those of us of a certain age are also remembering back to that long hot summer of 1976. I left school in that year and spent my first few weeks of freedom on the beach.
No such like these days. July for beanddo was as busy as ever. We started the month by taking part in the rapidly-growing and exciting initiative of Holistic Manchester, followed by our annual summer retreat. Then our latest beanddo 2018 modern meditation teacher training course started.
We have been thrilled to support this amazing new initiative in the city. This year the Festival was in Manchester’s famous Victoria Baths. No longer a swimming pool but a temple to all things good and great in the city. beanddo attended with a special stand managed superbly by Anna and Emily.
Anna and Emily, making happy work
I led lead three sessions at the event, including a meditation workshop, as well as leading the entire festival in a closing guided meditation.

Learning to Teach
July also saw the beanddo 2018 training school start with seven great students wanting to take their meditation journey deeper. This year we have students joining us from across the country from Edinburgh to Southampton.
This 100-hour course is designed for those who want either bring modern mediation practice in their workplace, add to their own wellbeing business or even as a huge opportunity for a career change. Anything is possible when you learn to just let go, stay present and just be.
2018 students for the beanddo meditation teacher training course
We set off to the breath-taking Eden Valley in Cumbria with 20 people who wanted to explore modern meditation practice (with a bit of physical yoga thrown in) and the beanddo modern meditation model. Over the weekend we explored the link between meditation insight, wellbeing, creativity and flow through a series of fun but also challenging meditation-based exercises. It's on retreat that we really get a chance to put our algorithm into use: ha = be + do – I, revealing how our modern meditation model can be applied.
