Mick Returns to Manchester School of Art: Igniting Creative Sparks in 3rd Year Interior Design Students

27 February - 28 February

Mick is back at the Manchester School of Art, ready to help inspire 3rd-year students and staff in the BA (Hons) Interior Design programme.

These workshops are more than just sessions; they’re vibrant, interactive experiences designed to show students how to intentionally tap into their inner creative flow with a sense of purpose. The agenda includes immersive activities like flow drawing, mark making, spontaneous process drawing. All supported by Mick’s cutting-edge Modern Meditation techniques.

The primary goal? Shifting the focus from rigid outcomes and expectations to the delightful realm of process, creative play, and non-judgmental self-observation. The aim is to introduce techniques and mindsets that countless artists and designers have harnessed to transform their work and lives.

Stress and anxiety often stand as the biggest roadblocks to creativity, joy, and well-being. The fear of failure, self-doubt, and the constant comparisons with others can constrict the natural flow of creative inspiration. That moment when you’re called to create something profound suddenly becomes an overwhelming burden, but only if you let those negative mindsets take root.

Mick brings a wealth of experience from his years as an architect, teacher, and expert in yoga and meditation to these collaborative sessions. His mission? To help participants not just thrive, but to flow and create from the inside out.
